Conference Center Security Assistant 

Location: Doral, Florida 
Clearance: TS/SCI

Job Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate with government staff for conference and visitor badge requirements. 

  • Verify security clearance for classified conferences. 

  • Create and issue conference security badges for all personnel, assigned to, attached, and visitors.

  • Conduct badge inventory and prepare reports for missing, lost, or damage badges.

  • Brief visitors and CCA staff on government security procedures to include escort requirements, protection of classified and controlled unclassified information, use of media and electronic devices, items prohibited in government facilities, and open/close procedures. 

  • Coordinate with the event Point of Contact (POC) prior to the conference to ensure all the required security protocols are in place for sound attention, guards, badge screening, mobile device accountability, and the secure removal and storage of classified conference materials in accordance with DoDM 5200.01.

  • Coordinate with Physical Security for Preventative Maintenance and Emergency service and  repair for the LENEL Access Control System, Badging Computer System, conference information systems support, mitigation measures regarding the protection of classified information, and associated information systems. 

  • Conduct scheduled and random initial radio frequency (RF) detection screening using government supplied test equipment to  comply with signal emanation requirements and protect classified information, CUI, and system from unauthorized disclosure.

  • Coordinate with the government for technical assistance when a rouge signal and network are detected.

  • Perform security walkthroughs, random security checks, on-the spot corrections, record findings in accordance with local policy.

  • Assist staff with the creation and distribution of Internet Cafe' usernames and passwords.

  • Coordinate with Media Destruction for proper disposal of classified and controlled unclassified information and materials in accordance with government policy. 

  • Coordinate with Personnel Security regarding foreign visitors. 

  • Assist CCA staff with vetting and escorting maintenance personnel in designated secure areas.

  • Serve as the Conference Center Security Assistant, appointed in writing.

  • Complete requirements in accordance with Security Manager Handbook and associated tasking's .

  • Assist with scheduling and documents alarm testing in accordance with local policy. 

Job Requirements 

  • Must possess a current DoD Top Secret (TS) Clearance (Interim acceptable) based upon a Tier 5 Investigation adjudicated in the past five (5)  years with a determination of eligibility access for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

  • Must possess an Associate Degree or five (5) years specialized experience. 

  • Must have direct knowledge and application of DoD governing laws, regulations, precedents, and directives supporting security program (e.g. information, personnel, physical, industrial) and operational, procedural, and technical standards that achieve interoperability with other non-DoD Federal Government Agencies. 

  • Must have general knowledge and perspective of the operational, procedural and technical standards that achieve interoperability with other non-DoD Federal Government agencies. 

  • Must be proficient using basic Microsoft Office software applications to include SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
