Personnel Security Specialist (Visitor Reception & Badging Operations )

Location: Doral, Florida 
Clearance:  TS/SCI

Job Responsibilities 

  • Issue security access badges in accordance with local policy and PERSEC SOPs.

  • Update the database or a similar repository with required personnel security information (e.g. clearance data, investigation type and date, access level, etc.) for all personnel issued a security badge.

  • Brief visitors on security procedures including but not limited to escort requirements, protection of classified information and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and use of media and electronic devices and prohibited items. 

  • Brief escorts on escort responsibilities. 

  • Assist with processing foreign visits to USSOUTHCOM facilities in support of the Defense Foreign Visitor Program.

  • Process visits  received via the Security Policy Automated Network (SPAN).

  • Maintain the local electronic database.

  • Coordinate the additional records checks in accordance with local policy. 

  • Complete security clearance verification checks.

  • Prepare and maintain access badge reports and rosters.

Job Requirements 

  • Must possess a current Top Secret (TS) Clearance (Interim acceptable) based upon a Tier 5 Investigation adjudicated in the past five (5) years with a determination of eligibility access for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

  • Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma, preferably a Bachelor's Degree.

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience performing Personnel Security Support Services, preferable in DoD.

  • Must have five years of experience using personnel security processing tools, including the DoD personnel security system of record (e.g.JPAS, DISS) and e-QIP.

  • Must have direct knowledge and application of Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) and the DoD EAF(e.g., SIPR, NIPR, and JWICS networks), RMT, AMHS, and the Information Technology (IT)| Cybersecurity rules and regulatory authorities to develop and implement policies and planning concepts, and project management methods. 

  • Must have direct knowledge and application of DoD governing laws, regulations, precedents, and directives supporting security programs (e.g. information, personnel, physical, industrial) and operational, procedural, and technical standards that achieve interoperability with other non- DoD Federal Government Agencies. 

  • Must be proficient using basic Microsoft Office software applications to include SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
