Physical Security Specialist (Physical Security Task)

Location: Doral, Florida 
Clearance: TS/SCI

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain expendable supplies inventory and submit orders for purchase and approval.

  • Maintain a sustainable database for all headquarters security containers, combination locks, Standard Form 700 Security Container Information, alarm testing, physical security assessments, certified security rooms, and SCI facilities.

  • Perform Physical Security Assessments (PSA) for buildings and workspaces under headquarters control, as directed, to ensure compliance with the Command and DoD physical security policies and procedures, to include mitigation measures. 

  • Provide Physical Security Assessment (PSA) in memorandum format, referencing applicable policies and regulations for government review and approval.

  • Assist with construction plans and projects. 

  • Assist with the execution of SCIF Management functions to include maintaining a SCIF, TSCIF, TSWA files, local databases, Co-Utilization agreements, and accreditation reports; completing pre construction and fixed facility checklists; preparing formal correspondence in RMT/ AMHS; updating information in the System for Antiterrorism and Security Operations (SASO).

  • Respond to alarm notifications; assist with testing alarms; and document test via memorandum of record.

  • Research, advise, and provide recommendations and quotes for all ESS and Physical Security enhancements procurements in accordance with procurement policies. 

  • Provide reports of service tickets to include recommended solutions to areas with repetitive service calls.

  • Maintain all locks to include repair, removal, and replacement during duty and non-duty hours. 

  • Record all lock inspections, installations, and repairs.

Job Requirements 

  • Must possess a current DoD Top Secret (TS) Clearance (Interim acceptable) based upon a Tier 5 Investigation adjudicated within the past five (5) years with a determination of eligibility access for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

  • Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma. An Associate Degree is preferable.

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience performing Physical Security Support Services.

  • Must have two (2) years of experience properly operating the LENEL access control system.

  • Must have an OnGuard Lenel Certified Associates (LCA)-Core Certification.

  • Additionally, an OnGuard Lenel Certified Professional in one of the following areas of concentration: LCP-Intrusion, LCP-Specific Database, or LCP-Access is prefered.

  • Must have general knowledge and perspective of the operational, procedural and technical standards that achieve interoperability with other non-DoD Federal Government agencies. 

  • Must have working knowledge of the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) and Department of Defense (DoD) Enterprise Architecture framework(e.g., SIPR, NIPR and Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications Systems ( JWICS) networks ), and the Information Technology (IT)/ Cybersecurity rules and regulatory authorities to develop and implement policies and planning concepts, and project management methods.  

  • Must be proficient using basic Microsoft Office software applications to include SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
